A Fox News reporter seemingly annoyed many delegates at the Democratic National Convention with questions trying to elicit a reaction.
Peter Doocy and the Fox News broadcast shifted their focus from speeches in the background to asking delegates some questions before Kamala Harris took to the stage.
Doocy asked the delegate crowd if they wanted Beyonce to come out, taking a shot at the amount of celebrities that spoke at the DNC.
One of the delegates said: ” This is about issues, this is about issues, and this is about America.”
Doocy scoffed at the idea, responding: “Do you want to tell all the celebrities in the back not to come out?”
The delegate responded fiery, stating: “Why don’t you tell them? Go tell them.”
Then came the Beyonce question, to which the DNC delegates said: “Come on. Don’t do this”
Doocy finally got the hint and backed away as the delegate continued to tell the reporter to leave their area.
In Fox News fashion, instead of asking policy-specific questions or inquiring about their opinion on celebrity appearances, the reporter took a snarky tone and asked questions in an incendiary way, which left the delegates bothered and unwilling to answer questions.
The convention has featured many high-profile speakers, such as Oprah Winfrey, Barack and Michelle Obama, Bernie Sanders, Bill and Hillary Clinton, Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez, and Pete Buttigieg.
The United Center, home of the Chicago Bulls, has a capacity of over 20,000, which was at a capacity, so much so that people were not allowed to enter.
“The DNC in consultation with the Chicago Fire Department has decided to restrict access to the United Center, which is at capacity. The situation is being monitored by CFD and the DNC,” according to the DNC Joint Information Center.
